Annals of Aquaculture and Research is an international, open access, peer reviewed journal that brings about latest research happenings in all the related fields of Aquaculture Research and Management. The journal mainly focuses upon the farming of aquatic, aquatic plants, cultivating freshwater and saltwater populations under controlled conditions, commercial fishing and harvesting sea food.

The paper concludes that economic sustainability is and will continue to be closely related to how the shrimp farming industry deals with environmental problems. Strategies are considered for improved environmental management of shrimp aquaculture, and priorities are highlighted for future research on the relations between shrimp culture and the environment. This paper reviews the interactions.
GIANT PRAWN 2019 will be a great opportunity for the global freshwater prawn farming industry to review the latest research and development and to brainstorm what the priorities should be for its future expansion. As the technical sessions of GIANT PRAWN 2019 unfold, we have provided the program of the previous Conference in 2017 to have a glimpse of the GP technical program.
Skretting Aquaculture Research Centre (ARC) has a dedicated team of shrimp researchers, centrally located in Norway. Research trials have been carried out at the Skretting ARC Hezhoubei Research Station in China, with validation trials at the Skretting Validation Station in Ecuador. On-farm validation under different conditions and challenges has taken place in Ecuador and Vietnam.
